Thrill-Seeker Dean Stokes Breaks Guinness World Record for Most Rollercoasters Ridden in One Week
55 rollercoasters. Seven days. One record-breaking ride across the UK and Ireland

Brighton-based rollercoaster enthusiast and entrepreneur Dean Stokes has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the most rollercoasters ridden in one week, completing an extraordinary 55 coaster rides across the UK and Ireland in just seven days.
The record-breaking achievement formed part of Dean’s wider mission to ride every rollercoaster in the UK and Ireland — a challenge that ultimately saw him take on 108 rollercoasters across 32 theme parks during a 16-day journey spanning more than 2,300 miles.
Despite battling unpredictable weather conditions and major travel disruption caused by Storm Floris, Dean successfully secured the inaugural Guinness World Record title, officially setting the benchmark at 55 rollercoasters in seven days.
Speaking after the announcement, Dean said:
“What started as a personal challenge quickly became something much bigger. I’ve always loved the adrenaline, atmosphere and pure escapism that rollercoasters bring — so to now officially hold a Guinness World Record is surreal.
“The response online has been incredible, and if this inspires even a few people to go out and do more of what they love, then that’s the biggest win for me.”
Dean, who previously worked at Google before launching his own AI and technology training business, documented the challenge across social media, attracting growing attention from rollercoaster fans and adventure-seekers alike.
While the current record may now belong to Dean, he’s already hinting that this could be only the beginning.
With new challenges, bigger ambitions and more world-record ideas already being explored, Dean has no plans to slow down anytime soon.
“I think there’s always another challenge out there,” he added. “This record proved what’s possible with a good idea, a lot of planning, and a willingness to say yes to something slightly ridiculous.”
